The first washer I received was replaced within 3 months with due to the rubber part in the door going bad. I noticed the replacement had a completely different type of rubber. This washer lasted 1.5 years due to the drum/bearing needing to be replaced. Very disappointed and feel as though there is something wrong with this model (as it is not made anymore and so many people had similar issues). GE offered a reduced price (about half price) for the new one which made me take it, but should have pushed further to get more information on the issues.

Great features.

Out of the front load washers IÕve had, this one is my favorite. I was concerned that it would be complicated to use with all the cycle options, but it is by far very easy yo use. Also, I love the fact that it is big enough to handle king size bed mattress covers! Now I donÕt have to go to the laundry mat. Another great thing about the washer is that it does not wrinkle the clothes. My previous washer would wrinkle clothes really bad even on a medium spin cycle. This washer does great on spin cycle even on max.

OK- Like the options for different loads

During the spin cycle it sounds like a threshing machine knocking and shaking. Have had it checked by GE service and was told it is normal. The machine needs to get up to 80rpms before it balances out. Hard to believe as this is not the first GE washer I have had and never have I had this problem. Very disconcerting since I have only had it 3 months. It has done this from the get go. Would not get it again. I do like the options and the time saver
